One of my best friends, Mac Lake, came up with the Nic @ Night idea and we first put it on in the Myrtle Beach area in the mid-90s. Nic @ Night is a summer children's ministry for kids entering kindergarten through sixth grade.

   As a play on the TV network, Nic @ Night focuses on the Biblical story of Nicodemus coming to Jesus at night (John 3). It was through this night time encounter that Nicodemus discovered that he must be born again in order to enter the kingdom of heaven. Our prayer is that each child who attends Nic @ Night will discover this same truth and find Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior.

   Nic @ Night utilizes high energy music and a gameshow format to draw children in so that they might be introduced to the gospel in a relevant way. Each week has a different pithy theme such as "Bring Your Friends," "The Truth Will Set You Free," or, as in the case of Nicodemus "You Must Be Born Again." Since the inception of Nic @ Night in 2001 over 1500 children have attended and more than 200 have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Many other churches have watched the Nic @ Night program and carved it out to fit their local community. To our knowledge, every church who has done Nic @ Night has more than doubled their Bible School attendance. Many kids come to Nic @ Night that would never attend a normal children's program.

   For any church interested in the program, you are welcome to bring your own kids and some of your children's workers and participate in a Sunday night program. There is no cost to you and after participating, if you would like to be trained in running the program at your own church, we will do that FREE OF CHARGE.
