Pastor

Since first visiting FBC in 1998, Pastor Steve has played a number of roles within our congregation. He originally served as Associate for Youth Ministries but now serves as a Pastor for the entire congregation. His primary ministries are teaching during Sunday morning services, overall church leadership, and outreach to the Tri-State area.
Pastor Steve has completed his studies for degrees from West Virginia University (B.A., Psychology), Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M., Educational Leadership), and Southern Seminary (Ed.D., Leadership). He is currently is working toward a Ph.D. in Adolescent Development from Southern in Louisville, KY. He is married to Deanna, his wife of 20 years, and they have three children (Titus 14, Johnna 12, Lucas 10).
God has blessed Steve to share the gospel on 5 continents and over 20 countries. He has appeared on ABC, Nightline, Larry King Live, CNN, KLOVE, Focus on the Family, the Dove Awards, and other media venues. Because of his work with adolescents and childhood obesity, Steve has also been interviewed or published in the New York Times, the London Times, the Singapore News and other publications (Philippians 3:8). Steve enjoys sports, the outdoors, and travelling for the purpose of mission work and experiencing God's creation.
