FBC Kenova takes seriously Christ's Great Commission to reach the entire world. Since 1999, we have sent over 20 of our graduates into at least one year of full-time mission work in nearly a dozen countries.
Locally, we host the community's 'Good Samaritan Center,' which provides food and basic necessities for the needy of our area. The 'Good Samaritan Center' is sponsored by the churches of the Ceredo-Kenova area.
Nationally, we have sponsored a number of young adults from our own congregation, who work in various full-time ministries in more than a dozen U.S. States. Our missionaries have worked at Kanakkuk Camps, WV Baptist Camp Cowen, Centrifuge, Victory Bible Camps in Alaska, Center for Student Missions, Camp Caleb KY, Chik-Fil-A Camps in Georgia, among many others.
God has blessed us to have missionaries leave our church body for the international mission field. Countries served by these missionaries are Spain, Slovakia, Estonia, Italy, India, Honduras, Swaziland, South Africa, Indonesia, Peru, Zambia, and Hungary. We have also sent short-term mission teams to Mexico, India, Thailand, Nicaragua, Honduras and Russia. We also provide monetary support for a number of other full-time missionaries. In addition, we presently have a number of college students studying for full-time ministry at Marshall University, Dallas Theological Seminary, Southern Seminary, and Liberty University.
